About this resource

Baseline Assessment Tracker - Nursery, Preschool & Reception A simple, practical spreadsheet tracker designed to be used alongside my EYFS with Mrs S Baseline Assessment Packs for Nursery (2–3), Preschool (3–4) and Reception (4–5). The tracker mirrors the activities and ‘Looking for’ criteria within my own baseline documents, allowing you to record each child’s starting point and see patterns across your cohort more easily. Each age range includes a cohort overview as well as more detailed tracking for each individual baseline activity. Simply select Not Assessed, Not Yet, Developing or Secure from the dropdown menus and the spreadsheet will automatically colour-code your entries and calculate useful cohort information. Please note: This is a companion tracker for the EYFS with Mrs S Baseline Assessment Packs. It is not the Department for Education Reception Baseline Assessment (RBA), nor is it connected to or intended to replace the Statutory Baseline Assessment (SBA/RBA). It is an optional practitioner tool to support your own observations and understanding of children’s starting points. For best use, complete the relevant EYFS with Mrs S Baseline Assessment Pack alongside this tracker.
