The short version
- Cancel your membership any time from your account. You keep access until the end of what you’ve paid for.
- Resources are for you and your own setting. Please don’t share the files or your login.
- Anything you’ve downloaded stays yours to use, even after you cancel.
- Once you download a resource, the 14-day cooling-off period ends.
1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use eyfswithmrss.com: creating an account, downloading a free resource, buying a resource or joining the membership. Please read them before you pay. By creating an account or paying, you agree to them.
EYFS with Mrs S is run by me, Laura Shepherd. In these terms “I” and “me” means me, and “you” means the person using the site. If you’re buying for a school or nursery, “you” also means that school or nursery.
These terms replace the ones on my old Payhip shop. If you were a member there, your membership carries on under these terms.
2. Your account
- You need an account to download resources. Please use your real name and an email address you check.
- An account is for one person. Keep your password to yourself; sharing a login breaks these terms.
- An account can be signed in on a small number of devices at once. Signing in on another device signs out the one you used longest ago.
- You must be 18 or over to pay for anything on the site.
- If you think someone else has used your account, change your password and let me know.
- If you share your wishlist, anyone with the link can see the resources on it and their prices. Only you can change it.
3. Membership and payment
Membership gives you every resource in the library, including new ones as they’re added, for as long as it’s active. It’s paid monthly or yearly in advance and renews automatically until you cancel.
- You’ll see the price before you pay. Payments are taken securely by Stripe, so I never see your full card details. You can pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
- Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where it applies. A receipt is emailed to you every time you’re billed, and you can download invoices from your account.
- If I change the price of your plan, I’ll email you at least 30 days before you’re charged the new price, so you can cancel first if you’d rather.
- You can switch between monthly and yearly from your account. If you move to yearly, what’s left of your current month is credited.
- A discount code applies as described when you use it and can’t be swapped for cash.
- If a payment fails, Stripe tries again over the following days and emails you a link to update your card. You keep access while it retries. If every attempt fails, your membership ends and downloads stop until you rejoin.
4. Cancelling your membership
You can cancel at any time. Use “Cancel my membership” on your account page and I’ll take it from there.
Once your membership is cancelled, it stops renewing and you keep access until the end of the month or year you’ve already paid for. I don’t refund part-used months or years, except where the law says I must.
Everything you’ve already downloaded is yours to keep using under the licence in section 7.
5. Your 14-day right to cancel
The law usually gives you 14 days to change your mind about something you buy online. Digital resources are different, because you can download them straight away. When you pay, I ask you to agree that your membership or purchase starts immediately and that you lose the right to cancel once you download a resource.
- If you haven’t downloaded anything yet, you can cancel within 14 days of paying for a full refund. Just email me.
- Once you’ve downloaded a resource, the 14-day right to cancel no longer applies. Your rights if something is wrong with a resource (section 13) still do.
6. Buying single resources
- You can buy resources one at a time, or put several in your basket and pay once.
- After you pay, they appear under “My purchases” in your account. You can download them as often as you like for as long as the site is running, so it’s worth keeping your own copy.
- If you join the membership later, you keep everything you’ve bought.
- Buying for a school? Add the school’s name, address and purchase order number at checkout, and your invoice will show them. You can change them from your account afterwards.
7. Using the resources
Everything on this site, including the resources, planning, artwork and the site itself, is my copyright. When you download a resource, I give you a personal licence to use it with the children in your own school or setting. You don’t own the resource, and the licence can’t be passed on to anyone else.
You can
- Print them and use them in your own classroom or setting
- Edit the editable versions to suit your children
- Share printed copies with staff in your own setting
- Show them on your classroom screen
Please don’t
- Share the files or your login with anyone
- Upload them to websites, social media or shared drives
- Put them into AI tools or use them to train AI
- Sell them, or pass them off as your own work
8. Sharing resources
Every download is recorded against your account. Please don’t pass the files on, including the editable Word and PowerPoint versions.
If your whole team would like their own copies, a school membership (section 9) covers that.
9. School memberships
A school membership covers a set number of teachers, called seats.
- The person who buys it is the school admin. They invite teachers by email, remove anyone who leaves and look after billing. They can hand the role to a colleague from the school’s dashboard.
- Each teacher has their own login, and their downloads are recorded against it. Seats are for staff at that school only and can’t be shared between people.
- Schools can pay by card or by invoice. When paying by invoice, access starts once the invoice is paid.
- If the school membership ends or its payment fails, every teacher on it loses access to downloads at the same time.
10. Free resources
Some resources are free. To get one, you give me your name and email address and I email you a download link, which works for seven days. Ask again and I’ll send a fresh one.
You’ll only get my other emails if you tick the box to say yes, and every email has a link to unsubscribe. Free resources come with the same licence as paid ones.
11. CPD and training
CPD and training are for staff in the school or setting that bought them. They draw on my own experience as an EYFS teacher and aren’t official guidance from the Department for Education or Ofsted. Please use them alongside the current EYFS statutory framework and your setting’s own policies.
12. Fair use
To stop the library being copied in bulk, there are limits on how many resources an account can download in a day and in an hour. They’re set high enough that a teacher downloading by hand shouldn’t ever notice them. If you reach one, downloads pause and the site tells you when you can carry on.
I keep a record of downloads (what, when and roughly where from) to protect the resources. If an account looks as though it’s being shared or used to copy the library, I may pause it while I look into it, and I’ll get in touch.
13. If something isn’t right
- If a resource is faulty or doesn’t match its description, tell me and I’ll fix it or send you a corrected version. If I can’t, I’ll refund what you paid for it, or a fair part of your membership fee. This is on top of your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
- I keep resources up to date, so files in the library may be improved, replaced or retired over time.
- I aim to keep the site running all the time, but it may be unavailable now and then for maintenance or for reasons outside my control.
14. Reviews
If you’ve downloaded or bought a resource, you can rate and review it. Please be honest and kind, and don’t name children or include anyone’s personal details. I read every review before it appears and won’t publish ones that break these rules. Published reviews show your first name, and I may reply to them.
15. Suspending or closing accounts
I may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, for example by sharing files or a login, or copying the library. I’ll tell you why unless the law stops me. If I close an account for a serious breach, I won’t refund the rest of the period.
If I ever close the membership altogether, I’ll give members at least 30 days’ notice and refund any time you’ve paid for but won’t get.
16. Liability
Please check that every resource, and any activity or material it suggests, is suitable and safe for your children and setting.
I’m responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of me breaking these terms or not using reasonable care. I’m not responsible for loss or damage that wasn’t foreseeable. If you’re buying for a school or business, I’m not responsible for business losses such as lost time or income, and my total liability to you is limited to what you’ve paid me in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits my liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn’t allow me to limit, and nothing affects your statutory rights.
17. Changes to these terms
I may update these terms, for example when the site gains new features or the law changes. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change affects your membership, I’ll email you at least 30 days before it applies to you, so you can cancel first if you’re not happy with it.
18. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
