About this resource

Wondering what the first two weeks of Preschool should actually look like? This practical guide includes example timetables for the first two weeks in a Preschool (3–4) setting, showing how you might structure those crucial early days while helping children settle, build relationships and establish routines through play. Alongside the timetables, you'll find guidance on the routines to explicitly teach, the role of the adult, provision priorities and practical strategies to support children's independence, confidence and love of learning from the very beginning. You will receive a PDF (5MB) file. © 2026 EYFS with Mrs S. All rights reserved.
