Reception Literacy Planning – Autumn 2
A six-week Reception literacy plan for Autumn 2, built around carefully chosen picture books and meaningful opportunities for talk, vocabulary, phonics and early writing.
The planning includes three literacy sessions per week, with clear teaching ideas, cross-curricular links, key vocabulary and differentiated writing expectations.
Texts include Sparks in the Sky, Funnybones, Little Glow, The Foggy Foggy Forest, Leaf Man and Joy to the World, with learning progressing from rich discussion and oral language through to purposeful captions and simple sentences.
