This editable Reception Summer 1 Medium Term Plan explores Superheroes! through the big question “Who is a real-life superhero?”
The plan focuses on the people who help us in our communities, including emergency services, healthcare workers, school staff, council workers, hospitality workers and transport workers.
Learning opportunities are carefully connected across the EYFS, with role play, real-life experiences, visitors, stories and practical challenges supporting children's communication, understanding of the world, independence and problem-solving.
The plan includes key lines of enquiry, cultural capital and enrichment, core texts, phonics, mathematics, vocabulary, continuous provision, assessment prompts and links to the Reception progression documents.
It is fully editable, so you can adapt the plan to reflect your own community, children's interests and available experiences.
