About this resource

Display prompts for the construction area to support and extend children's play, encouraging creativity, problem-solving, collaboration and the use of purposeful language. Prompts may inspire children to plan, design, build, evaluate and adapt their creations while introducing new vocabulary linked to structures, materials and engineering. They can also encourage children to share ideas, explain their thinking and reflect on how they overcame challenges.
