About this resource

Bring a little magic to number bonds with this hands-on potion-themed pack. Children count the “potion drops” under each bottle, then add counters, gems or buttons to fill the dashed circles and find the missing part. It’s a simple way to build confident recall of number bonds to 10, with bonds to 5 included as a stepping stone or for extra support. Each bottle card shows the whole number, a ten-frame or five-frame of potion drops, and a missing-number sentence such as 3 + ☐ = 10, so children can see the bond as well as write it. It fits neatly alongside the Potion Pantry for a complete potion-themed maths and oracy provision.
